About Us

My father founded Tower Roofing, a Washington, D.C.–based roofing company, in 1982. From a very young age, my brother and I worked alongside him and learned the trade directly at his side. Although he is now retired, he remains actively involved in what we do and continues to be a guiding influence.

Together, my father, my brother, and I bring over 90 years of combined experience in roofing and home improvement. For me personally, the journey has been unique. After becoming a wheelchair user at age 15, I dedicated myself to developing strong skills in construction oversight and leadership. Over the course of 26 years as a federal employee, I served as a Construction Project Manager and held responsibilities across several agencies.

In 2006, I launched A Pair of Hands Contracting to bring together the knowledge, skills, and lessons accumulated throughout my life. My focus has always been to lead with integrity, treat clients with respect, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. I am grateful for every opportunity to serve the community I grew up in, and my team and I approach each project with professionalism, humility, and pride in our craft. 

We have a dedicated team of architects, carpenters, roofing specialists, plumbers, electricians and office staff.  Most of our full-time team have been with us for over 15 years. Our team will design your project, obtain permits, and manage the job until it's completed to your satisfaction.  In some instances, we may need to hire subcontractors, however, they too, have been with us for years and we trust them.
