About Us
We are a family owned General Contracting company and we personally manage all of our projects. A large part of our business is building additions, decks/porches, sunrooms/screened rooms, roofing/siding/window replacements, patios and fencing for residential customers. We are transitioning to designing and building single family homes. We focus on customer service and building long time relationships with customers and our team of professionals. We know the importance of creating a positive, responsible and productive environment to get work done.
Rab Currie, Owner
My father started Tower Roofing, a D.C. based roofing company in 1982. My brother and I learned from and worked with him from very young ages. Recently, he retired, but still very active in what we do. My father, brother and I, have over a combined 90 years of experience in Home Improvement. While using a wheelchair for mobility since age 15, I have gained decades of experience as a Construction Project Manager. I did this while serving as a Federal employee in multiple agencies over 26 years. In 2006, I started A Pair of Hands to use the knowledge, skills and abilities learned over my lifetime to lead my team of professionals to complete successful projects on time and on budget.
Our Team
We have a dedicated team of architects, carpenters, roofing specialists, plumbers, electricians and office staff. Most of our full-time team have been with us for over 15 years. Our team will design your project, obtain permits, and manage the job until it's completed to your satisfaction. In some instances, we may need to hire subcontractors, however, they too, have been with us for years and we trust them.
