Rab Currie founded A Pair of Hands Contracting with one simple goal: to provide homeowners with the kind of professionalism, communication, and quality workmanship they deserve. Before starting the company, Rab spent 26 years as a Federal Construction Project Manager, overseeing complex building projects, safety programs, accessibility compliance, contract administration, and facility operations. That experience taught him the importance of planning, accountability, and delivering projects the right way — principles that continue to guide every project today.

As a wheelchair user for nearly 40 years, Rab also brings a unique perspective to residential construction. Accessibility isn't just something he learned in a classroom — it's something he lives every day. Whether designing a roll-in shower, a safer entryway, or a complete aging-in-place renovation, he understands how thoughtful design can improve independence, safety, and quality of life. Beyond construction, Rab has spent decades giving back to the disability community. He competed in wheelchair basketball for nearly 30 years and later coached at the national level — experiences that reinforced the values of teamwork, leadership, discipline, and perseverance.
